Steve Neilson Managing Director of Worksmart Contracts stated “Since the start of Worksmart Contracts some fifteen years ago Worksmart Contracts have always concentrated in B2B works. Working closely with existing and new End User Clients in our Multi Trade Fast Track Interior Fit-Outs and Refurbishments where we work hand in hand with the Clients and their Design Teams such as Architects, Designers, Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Services Engineers and Structural Engineers.
Whether we are working in Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Manchester, London or indeed anywhere in the UK Worksmart’s Teams are all over the country working from our three offices in Kilmarnock, Edinburgh and Manchester are working for small medium and large Clients with a variety of Clients Teams involved in small medium and large Projects. Regardless the size, complexity and value Worksmart employ the same approach to ensure Project success.
It is imperative to work as a Team from the start of the Project in B2B all the way through to the Project Completion and Handover for the best possible shots for the Client to ensure Design, Specifications, Quality, Timescale and cost all Meet and exceed the Clients expectations. The relationships between these Companies involved are so important to the success of the Project and can very often be the difference between a good job and great job, or a good job and a bad job. The extended benefit of a successful Project results thereafter in repeat business with our Clients, which Worksmart have a very high success rate in, and also opens up opportunity in working on further Projects with the Clients Design Team members.
Worksmart are long established in our memberships with the Ayrshire, Edinburgh and Manchester Chambers and active members supporting events and Ayrshire Business Week working with the Chamber Members and interacting to develop relationships in B2B. in addition we have had the support of East Ayrshire Council and the BeReady Programme and Invest East Ayrshire which has created strong B2B relationships and at the same time developing our Staff Team and Company in so many ways. Worksmart have been members of various Networking organisations and continue to work in these circles and identify further opportunities in creating further B2B relationships.
Worksmart benefited greatly by initially working with the Business Gateway team all those years ago and then being taken under Account Management by Scottish Enterprise which has helped us develop to the level which Worksmart now operate at and going from strength to strength year on year increasing the number of Employees and Sub Contractors working with Worksmart.
In addition and in the other side of B2B we engage with Sub Contracting and Supply Chain all over the UK and try for local Companies to work with Worksmart through our approved vetting system to facilitate fast and efficient quality Fit-Outs and Refurbishments. Working with a core of selected approved various sized Companies to ensure the best selection of appropriate skills and their interaction with B2B they also, like ourselves, appreciate and work with Apprentices, School leavers, Graduates and other essential Team members to sustain our Construction Industry.
All in all B2B we believe is at the core of our business in the Interior Contracting and Construction Sector and respecting and understanding the importance of the Teams relationship is key to it. This has resulted in works at the Gaiety Theatre Ayr, The Gherkin in London, Loch Lomond Group Distilleries in Ayrshire, Marine harvest in Fort William, Scottish Government works with MITIE, Mhale Engine Systems, and some 1600+ Projects throughout the UK.”
